PRINCIPAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Emma is a mum, sister, daughter, fiancée and psychologist. 

 

Emma has a passion for working collaborativly with individuals and couples to support and empower them. She highlights strengths, and bases her work on empathy and acceptance. She works to support individuals and couples to enhance their sense of wellbeing. 

Emma tailors her therapeutic approach to each client using evidence-based therapies including Gottman Therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.

 

Emma works with many presenting issues including anxiety, depression, parenting, and relationship issues. Supporting couples who are physically separated is of particular interest to Emma as she is aware this is a challenging and complex experience. Emma's work primarily includes adults and couples.

 

Emma co-founded Partners Elsewhere where she is Lead Educator and heads the Research and Development of psycho-educational programs. She has also worked as a psychologist in private practice, educational settings, and in prisons.

 

Emma's research has focused on developing effective intervention for partners who are physically separated for work, complex grief, and psychophysiological impacts of concussion.
